Junior Software Developer (position code: JSD027)

We are seeking a junior level Software Developer to join our growing consulting and training company.
The successful candidate will possess a combination of the following software development skills:

  • Knowledge and practical experience with .NET related technologies and servers such as C#, ASP.NET, ADO.NET, VB.NET, VS.NET
  • Knowledge and practical experience with web related technologies such as HTML and DHTML
  • A solid understanding in applying OOA, OOD, and OOP "best practices" in development projects
  • Participation in all stages of the development lifecycle, from requirements gathering, analysis and design through to implementation, testing, and deployment
  • Knowledge and understanding of fundamental computer science concepts such as database structure and modeling, security, error handling, threading and operating systems
  • Good verbal and written communication skills

Preferences will be given to candidates that possess a subset of the following skills:

  • Good graphic design skills
  • Teaching skills

Microsoft SQL Server Database Administrator (position code: DBA028)

We have a current requirement for a Microsoft SQL Server Database Administrator to join our Winding River Solutions team. Success in this role requires several years experience with database management systems and server operating systems.
Experience with web development, web based application development, and .Net are definite assets.

Technical Requirements
Knowledge and experience with the following technologies:

  • Excellent Microsoft SQL Server Database administration skills
  • Experience with Transact SQL
  • Disaster recovery procedures
  • Microsoft Windows Applications Environment (Win2000, Win2003)
  • Excellent communication skills are essential as you will be working closely with clients
  • University (Computer Science, Engineering), College degree or equivalent
  • Any Microsoft Certification is an asset
  • Minimum 3-5 years related experience
